Kalman and Annamarie serve in Austria at Trans World Radio. His responsibilities are: running TWR-Europe's remote monitoring system that provides data about the reception of all the transmissions broadcast via 15 transmitters. Kalman daily evaluates the data to make sure the received signal is clear and strong in the target areas (about 40 countries) so that listeners may tune the broadcast in and be exposed to the Word of God proclaimed in the programs. He is also involved in the half-yearly frequency coordination process selecting frequencies for the short wave transmissions and coordinating their usage with other broadcasters. Annamarie has made friends in the neighborhood where they live, and ministers to those the Lord brings her way. She also helps with hospitality functions at the Trans World Radio office in Vienna.
Kalman and Annamarie, natives of Hungary, have become TWR missionaries in 1982 and started their ministry in Monaco in the Hungarian department. They relocated to Austria in 1990 when political changes in Eastern Europe made it possible for Trans World Radio to establish national radio ministry teams all over the region. They also served in Malawi, Africa for a year (2004-2005) helping TWR-Malawi in the project of expanding their FM network to cover the whole country.
Kalman and Annamarie have one grown (married) daughter, Johanna.
